Let&#8217;s discover together what these villas are and where to go to admire them.<\/p>\n<h2>The Small Versailles of Brunate<\/h2>\n<p>Our journey to discover the Liberty villas of Brunate begins in the historic center of the village, along a route that winds along Pissarottino, Roma, Attilio Pirotta, and Giacomo Scalini streets. Here, it is indeed possible to admire a series of beautiful villas built between the late 19th century and the early 20th century, characterized by an eclectic style with Liberty turrets and staircases, enlivened by charming floral decorations.<\/p>\n<p>Striking for its grandeur, which earned it the nickname &#8220;small Versailles,&#8221; is <strong>Villa Pirotta Bonacossa<\/strong>, located near the funicular stop. Designed in 1902 by the architect Federico Frigerio, it is a private residence currently inhabited by the descendants of the chemist Alberto Bonacossa.<\/p>\n<p>Among the Liberty villas of Brunate, it is undoubtedly the most imposing one: an impression that is clearly evident when admiring its breathtaking position overlooking the lake, with a truly spectacular panorama. But if the exterior leaves one breathless, the real gem is found in the sophisticated interiors. The majestic staircase at the entrance is enriched with spiraling decorations, created by the artist and scenographer Lodovico Pogliaghi.<\/p>\n<p>Returning to the outdoor spaces, one cannot fail to be impressed by the beautiful and lush garden, rich in hidden caves, rare plants, and suspended paths, reminiscent of a style not unlike that which characterizes the gardens of Versailles.<\/p>\n<h2>Other Liberty Villas in Brunate<\/h2>\n<p>Continuing our journey to discover the Liberty villas of Brunate, we are spoilt for choice. While Villa Pirotta undoubtedly remains the most majestic, this does not detract from the beauty of the other villas, which include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Villa Giuliani,<\/strong> located in via Roma and dating back to the second period of the Liberty style.
